Acting credits include exploring existential angst as Klaus Kinski in HIS & HERZOG with Amy Seimetz and Max Silvestri, tempting fate in the beat poet indie darling murder drama KILL YOUR DARLINGS with Daniel Radcliffe, Michael C. Hall, and Elizabeth Olsen, a turn in the Academy Award-winning and groundbreaking seminal queer film MILK, and “impersonating” Jason Statham in the cult television hit comedy WORKAHOLICS with his brother Anders Holm, Blake Anderson, and Adam Devine.
Olen is a fellow of the inaugural MADE IN NY Writers Room fellowship where, under the mentorship of Richard Lagravenese, he developed LEMONAIDS, a comedy about a man coming to terms with the fact that he is no longer going to die from HIV - a semi-finalist for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. His feature DREEM PUSSY made semifinals for both Sundance and the American Zoetrope Screenplay Competition. TV half-hours include DUSTY PALMS (gay geezers hiding a murdered soldier at their nude resort in Palm Springs) and JAIL BIRD (a quiet doll factory worker whose secret, vivid prison pen pal relationships turn her dull life into a drug-running fight for her life).
